This year saw a change of venue to the roof top bar at The Century Club on Shaftesbury Avenue and a later start at 5pm. The thermostat was up, the sun shone and the glass roof retracted as 200 industrial agents, developers and asset/fund managers enjoyed the fine atmosphere of this private club. With good food, plenty to drink, sunshine and good company a great time was had by all.
This year the raffle raised over £900 for the IAS chosen charity for 2018 - Faraway Children’s Charity. The family of James Swallow were contacted and asked to arrive at a charity, which meant a great deal to the whole family. The charity meets the diverse needs of disadvantaged, vulnerable or at risk children and young people within Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas
The three winners of the raffle each received £100 John Lewis vouchers kindly donated by Goodman, AIPUT and the IAS. As George Glennie quoted “Its about buying the tickets not winning the prize” and that attitude was certainly shown by the generosity of everyone who attended.
My thanks go to our main sponsor Goodman and associate sponsor AIPUT for their kind support in helping us put on this event
